Read Hosea 1:2-10

Even if our social senses are dulled by news of leaders being unfaithful to their spouses and to their public commitments, we are not quite ready to read the book of Hosea personally and consider our own faithfulness to God. Yet, that is exactly what Gomer's behavior represents: God's people choosing to break their promise of commitment to God.
