Acts 9:36-43

Acts 9:36-43

Jesus' life and ministry brought new life to people. The Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) report that he brought several people back from the dead - not like zombies (which aren't mentioned in the Bible at all), but as whole, living persons.

He told his disciples that they would be able to do many of the things that he did. Today's reading is an example as Peter is used by God to bring Tabitha back to life

For your faith, life, and faithful living:

  • How have you experienced new life in Christ?
  • With whom are you sharing Jesus today?
  • Whom are you helping today to experience new life?

A resurrected blog for you

After an extended hiatus, St. Phil's Daily Bible Readings blog returns as an missional ministry of St. Philip's United Methodist Church (Round Rock, TX). It exists to give you a tool for reading the Bible each day, and using it to grow and deepen your faith. Visit St. Philip's web site to learn about the variety of Bible studies that the Church offers.

Each day you will have a link to a suggested Bible reading. Most days will offer a piece of art that visually expresses the message of the reading. There will usually be a brief comment about the reading from one of our Staff Team, along with some questions for your reflection. We invite and encourage you to post your answers, along with your insights and ideas from the reading.

Thanks for reading - not just this blog, but the Bible - and for joining in the conversation.
